Our Brief History

Masters in Systems and Technology, Inc. (MASTECH) is one of the leading suppliers of computer hardware, Information Technology (IT) products and services nationwide. The Company also provides logistics and fulfillment services to vendors and reseller customers. Incorporated in January 12, 1999, the Company is originally engaged in trading of computer related products to include the following: desktop and notebook personal computers (Branded and IBM compatibles); servers and workstations; mass storage devices; CD-ROM drives; monitors; printers; scanners; modems; networking hubs; network interface cards; and computer supplies. The Company also offers a comprehensive maintenance programs such as Preventive Maintenance and On-Call/Corrective Maintenance that shall ensure the clientele of the continuous equipment operation after the expiration of warranty.

On January 2000, the Company offered a training course on Marine Computer Technology in cooperation with the Norwegian Training Center, Manila (NTCM). The course is designed to train the students in concepts and expose them to implementations from a variety of software vendors. The course also has exercises designed to be completed by the students on a computer equipped with appropriate software. The training shall be conducted at the premises of NTCM with staff of instructors provided by the Company.

On February 2001, the Company was officially designated by Kongsberg Norcontrol Simulation AS, Norway, as the Philippine agent and exclusive distributor of all Norcontrols’ software programs and hardware requirements for the simulation of maritime safety navigation and communication systems. On the same year Kongsberg authorize the company to perform installation, commissioning, instructor’s training, technical training and perform services on warranty and non-warranty.

On May 2001, two technical staff of MASTECH had successfully completed a Technical Course on Ship Bridge Simulator (SBS), Engine Simulator and GMDSS Capella Simulator at Kongsberg Norcontrol Simulation AS known today as Kongsberg Maritime Ship System, Horten, Norway.

On December 2001, the Company was officially designated by Seagull AS, Norway, as the Philippine agent and exclusive distributor of all Seagulls’ software programs for the maritime shipping and training.

On January 2002, the Company established cooperation between Velca Equipment and Engineered Products, Inc. to market heavy machineries and engineering equipment as well as the inclusion of laboratory equipment of Lab-Volt in the Philippines.

On December 2002, the Company was officially designated by BASS Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, as the Philippine agent and exclusive distributor of all BASS software solutions: Bass Purchasing, Bass Accounting, Bass PayNet – Payroll, Bass CrewNet, Star IPS, Bass EasyInfo – Documentation, SAFIR Accident Reporting System.

On October 2005, the company renewed its commitment to Kongsberg Maritime AS as the new Kongsberg name. The company is still the official preferred partner of Kongsberg in the Territory for the products termed as Bridge simulators, Communication simulators, Dynamic Positioning simulators, Vessel Traffic Management simulators, Crisis Management simulators, Anchor Handling simulators, Engine Room simulators, Cargo Handling simulators, Ballast Control simulator; Web based simulators, Service and Support.

On January 2010, the company signs distribution agreement with C2SAT of Stockholm, Sweden – C2SAT (NGM-Stock Exchange, C2ST), a supplier of maritime VSAT antenna systems.

On January 2012, the Philippines Norway Business Council (PNBC) board of directors granted the full membership of MASTECH, Inc. in the PNBC organization. The main purpose of the Council is to promote business in general among our two countries and to provide a forum for discussion and exchanging views on business conditions, both domestic and international, affecting Philippine and Norwegian companies.

On January 2012, the company formally signed a Service Agent Agreement to diligently perform services in behalf of Kongsberg towards customers in the Philippines and outside territories as designated by Kongsberg.

On May 2012, the technical manager of MASTECH had successfully completed a Technical Training for the latest version of Kongsberg Maritime simulator products.

On August 2016, the company formally signed a Sales Agent Agreement with GlobalSim, Inc., a manufacturing company of Crane Simulators with its registered office at 9735 South 500 West, Sandy, Utah, United States of America.

On May 2017 the company agreed in principle to represent Kongsberg Seatex AS specializing in the development and manufacturing of precision positioning and motion sensing systems.
